Kathak is one of the most popular of Indian classical dances and was originally a North Indian temple dance based on devotional songs to honor the gods. It is a narrative dance form characterized by precise footwork, interpretive spins and the innovative use of poignant expressions to depict a story or emotion.

Kuchipudi, a unique Indian classical dance-drama performance art, derives its name from the village of Kuchelapuram, in Andhra Pradesh, India. This dance form is characterized by intricate footwork, graceful movements, and subtle facial expressions creating a unique blend of control and abandon, strength and delicacy. Kuchipudi is recognized as one of the eight classical dance forms of India and is performed both within India and internationally.
Popularly known as “Bollywood Dance,” our exclusive popular dance program offers a holistic and structured syllabus. This program will teach technique, style and form along with a deep understanding of folk and contemporary Indian dance. As with all our other programs, students will graduate to higher levels as they become more proficient.

Guru Kool is our signature program and is designed to introduce Indian language and culture. The curriculum is based on sight, sound, touch, smell and taste, to make India come alive for the youngsters in a way they have never experienced before.
The goal of Guru Kool is to build a foundation that will make India tangible in the minds of our students. The program also focuses on helping families create their own traditions and bond with their Indian heritage in a meaningful way.
The class offers a variety of interactive activities to make cultural learning an exciting experience. We use books, CDs, DVDs and/or educational worksheets, including hands-on projects, to enhance the cultural learning process and as teaching aides during the sessions.
Our program familiarizes students with the geography, history, literature, arts and crafts, politics and social fabric of India while attempting to grasp the unique philosophies, diverse traditions and rich cultural heritage that has passed down through centuries. Our goal is to make the learning process so intriguing that a deeper understanding of India’s cultural heritage can be achieved.

We offer Hindi as a second language classes which work on improving a students proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and comprehension. Students appear for state testing of Hindi as a part of New Jersey Department of Education's World Languages program and can get the prestigious Seal of Biliteracy from the state on completion of the testing.
(5 years and up)
Our drama class is for all children, from the shy to the outgoing, so they can develop at their own pace with plenty of positive encouragement. Students perform twice per year – once during the holidays and once for an annual recital. Children learn the following through our program.
